Visual Communications and Game Design Programs
Associate and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication:
The Visual Communication program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the commercial art, graphic design, and multimedia industries. Students can enhance basic drawing, design, and typographical skills to create professional, illustrative solutions to commercial design problems. Digital imaging, computer illustration and animation, desktop publishing, web development and prepress skills are used to refine concepts and develop students’ individual skills and talents. Graphic design and portfolio classes can prepare students for their internships and professional careers in visual communications.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Visual Communication will provide instruction in greater depth and breadth than the associate degree program.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Game Design:
The Bachelor degree program in Game Design is designed to provide training in principles and techniques used to create interactive 2D and 3D computer games. Students can learn design software, programming languages, modeling and animation skills, networking principles, level and world editors, and game engines used to design and develop games, and will examine market research and business concepts related to game production and distribution processes. Project management, creative design, and communication skills are integrated throughout this dynamic curriculum designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the game design industry.
